Tanice is coming off a great outdoor season where for the first time in her career she qualified for NCAA Nationals in the 1500-meters. She also earned her second and third All-MWC honors in the both indoor (800-meters) and outdoor (1500-meters) seasons. Barnett placed 28th in last year's MWC Cross Country Championships with a time of 23:35. She brings a lot of experience and will look to be a leader for the Cowgirls

A transfer from Black Hills State, she was an NAIA All-American in 2002.

UW's top runner in the 800 meters (2:10.39) and 1,500 meters (4:31.12) during the '04 outdoor season. Placed second at the MWC Outdoor meet in the 800 meters. Earned All-MWC honors and qualified for the NCAA Regional meet.

In 2003 she recorded the best Cowgirl time in the 1,500 meter run with a time of 4:34.69 and placed eighth in the event at the conference outdoor meet. She also performed well in the 800 meter run, turning in a season best time of 2:12.90.
